Kalan hızınızla hâlâ neler yapabilirsiniz
Tam hızı, kısıtlama sonrası hızla pratik açıdan karşılaştırın.
Son güncelleme 5 Eylül 2026

Sınırsız genellikle sınırsız hacim, sınırlı hız anlamına gelir. Günlük tam hız sınırını aştığınızda, yalnızca bazı şeylerin dayanabileceği bir hıza düşersiniz.
| Etkinlik | En az şunu gerektirir | Çalışır mı? |
|---|---|---|
| Harita ve navigasyon | 0.5 Mbps | Evet |
| Mesajlaşma ve e-posta | 0.3 Mbps | Evet |
| Görselli sosyal medya | 2 Mbps | Evet |
| Müzik dinleme | 0.5 Mbps | Evet |
| Video 480p | 1.5 Mbps | Evet |
| Video 1080p | 5 Mbps | Evet |

What this calculator actually computes
This calculator takes a speed figure you type in or select, and checks it against fixed speed bands built into the formula to say which kind of activity tends to work at that range. What comes back is a match between a number and a pre-set category — not the result of a real signal test at the spot where you happen to be standing.
So if a speed-test app gives you a different figure than expected, the two tools are not disagreeing with each other. A speed-test app measures real network conditions at one point in time; this tool only says what a given speed figure is generally enough for.
Reading the result so it is actually useful
Treat the result as a rough guide to what kind of activity should still be workable at that speed, not a guarantee that every app runs smoothly at exactly that figure. Apps are built differently — some automatically drop quality when speed falls, others do not adapt at all and simply stall until whatever is loading finishes.
If the figure you have sits near the edge between two categories, lean toward assuming the lower one. Real measured speed through the day tends to drift up and down, not stay as fixed as the single number you typed into this tool.
What it cannot know
It cannot know how many people are sharing the cell tower where you are standing, how much the building around you is blocking signal, or whether the app you are about to use adapts its own quality to the speed available. All of these change what a given speed can actually do, and none of them can be fed into a comparison this simple.
It does not know the daily full-speed ceiling of the plan you hold — that lives on the plan's own spec page — and it does not know which speed band that plan drops to once past its ceiling. This tool does one narrow job, matching a speed figure to an activity category, with no link to your actual plan's data at all.
Speed and latency, two things people mix up
The speed figure checked here only tells you how much data can flow per second, not the latency, or how long data takes to make a round trip — a separate variable that affects how a connection feels just as much. High speed paired with high latency can still make an online game or a video call feel laggy, even when the speed number alone looks fine.
This tool does not measure latency at all, since that needs a real round-trip signal test, not just a figure you type compared against a fixed band. If responses feel slow despite a download speed that looks high, suspect latency as a separate problem from speed.
- 1Find the speed you want to checkThis can be the full speed a plan states, or the throttled speed after passing its fair-use ceiling — both can be checked here the same way.
- 2Type or select the valueEnter the figure matching the unit the tool asks for — mixing up kbps and Mbps throws the result off badly.
- 3Read the activity category that matches that speed bandCheck whether the activities shown actually match what you need to do on the trip, not just whether the result marks something as workable.
- 4Lean toward the lower category if the figure sits near a boundaryReal speed drifts through the day, so avoid planning around the highest possible figure alone.
- 5Test with the real activity before something that mattersOpen the short video or page you actually need before the moment that matters, to see whether it stutters, rather than trusting this tool's result alone.
Activities against speed bands in more detail
| Etkinlik | What to watch for |
|---|---|
| Text chat and email | The lightest of all activities, usually still sends even at low speed, though a large photo attachment can still slow it down |
| Navigation maps | Light once the initial map is loaded and used offline, but frequent zooming or panning keeps pulling fresh data |
| Social feeds with photos and short video | How much it uses depends on whether the app autoplays video in the feed; turning autoplay off helps a lot at low speed |
| Görüntülü görüşmeler | Needs steady speed both directions at once; speed that drifts up and down hurts picture and sound more than any other activity here |
| High-resolution video streaming | Needs the highest speed on this table, and many streaming apps automatically drop resolution when speed falls short |
Common activities against what to watch for in each

Why the same speed feels different app by app
Apps are not built to behave the same way at the same speed. Most video-streaming apps automatically lower resolution when they detect low speed, so playback keeps going without stalling. Some video-calling apps do not do this as well, since adjusting audio and picture quality mid-conversation is a harder problem than adjusting a pre-recorded video.
Apps downloading large files — a system update, automatic photo backup — mostly do not care how low speed is; they keep trying regardless, eating the speed left over for whatever else is running at the same time. This is often why a video call drops with no obvious reason, even though the speed figure looked as if it should have been enough.
Full speed against the throttled figure
Most plans described as unlimited data still carry a daily full-speed ceiling. Past that ceiling, speed drops to a rate stated in the plan's own spec rather than stopping outright. That throttled figure is exactly the one worth checking here too, not just the full-speed figure at the start of the day.
Checking both figures separately helps plan a heavy data day better, since you might burn through full speed by mid-morning and be left with the throttled rate for the rest of the evening. Knowing in advance what the leftover speed can still handle helps decide which activity to do before the ceiling drops.
| Time of day | What to do before the ceiling drops |
|---|---|
| Before hitting the full-speed ceiling | Do the activities that need high speed, such as uploading video or streaming in high resolution, while full speed is still available |
| After passing the ceiling | What is left is chat, maps and anything not needing sustained high speed, until the day rolls over under the plan's own policy |
When to place each kind of activity before speed drops
User density, the hidden variable that hits hardest
At a popular sightseeing spot or a transit station at rush hour, a lot of people connect to the same tower at once. Even when your plan's speed ceiling has not been touched, the speed you actually get can still fall because everyone is sharing that tower's resources. This is something this tool has no way to foresee, since it depends entirely on the real place and time.
If speed drops unusually even though you should not be near the daily ceiling, suspect user density in that spot first, and try moving to somewhere less crowded or waiting a few minutes before trying again, rather than jumping to the conclusion that the plan itself is at fault.
Time of day matters too. Early evening after work, or whenever tourists come out to walk around together, tends to be when a neighbourhood's tower is busiest. If an activity needing high speed can be moved, doing it in the morning or late at night when fewer people are online usually works better than trying to fix anything on the phone or in the app itself.
Testing speed without wasting data
Running a standard speed-test app once genuinely uses data, it is not free, so test only as often as needed rather than repeating it several times for reassurance. If all you want to know is whether a specific activity still works, briefly trying that activity itself and watching what happens usually tells you faster, and costs less data, than testing repeatedly.
- Test only when actually needed, not every time you feel unsure
- Pause background app updates before an activity that needs high speed
- Briefly try the real activity itself before judging whether the speed is enough
- Move position if the cause looks like user density rather than the speed ceiling
- Always check the result against the plan's own daily full-speed ceiling on its spec page
Turning the result into a plan choice
If checking here shows that a plan's daily full-speed ceiling sits below what you actually need to do regularly — a daily video meeting, say — compare against another plan with a higher stated ceiling before buying, rather than looking only at price or the headline data size.
