Kuala Lumpur has two terminals some distance apart, linked by a train and shuttle. Getting into the city takes half an hour or more on the express train, longer by road at busy times. Coverage holds in the terminals and on the express train throughout.

On arrival

Enable the line before flying; on landing you can buy a train ticket or book a car straight away, which helps because the two terminals have different boarding points.

How far the airport Wi-Fi gets you

Both terminals have Wi-Fi and it works reasonably well, but once you are on the train or in a car to the city, the mobile network is all that is left.

Getting into town

The express train is the most predictable way in; taxis and app cars use separate counters and pickup points. The distance is long enough that road fares vary noticeably by time of day.
