Most people think about the internet only after the flights and hotel are booked, but what trips up day one is usually the whole phone, not just the SIM. This list pulls together seven things to settle before you fly.

Why the last item is the eSIM
Installing an eSIM needs the internet you do not yet have on arrival. If the first six are done but this one is not, day one still starts with hunting for Wi-Fi.

Do I have to do every item?+
No. Skip what does not apply, for example the plug item for a country that uses the same sockets. The eSIM and Dual SIM items matter every time you need OTPs or data on arrival.
