Arlanda is Sweden's main airport and it sits a fair way north of central Stockholm, so this is not a place where you walk out of the door and find yourself in the city. The passenger buildings are separate, linked by walkways and shuttles, and the signage assumes you know which one your onward train or bus leaves from. Winter adds a second variable, because snow clearance moves schedules around and the timetable you checked before boarding may not be the one that applies. If your onward transport leaves from a different building, read the building name carefully before you start walking, because the connections are longer than people expect. In winter some of those links involve a short stretch in the open air, which is worth knowing before you pack your coat in the hold.

The terminal Wi-Fi is free but gated behind a sign-in page, and around this region such sessions are often time-limited, with the limit arriving right when you are still waiting for a connection. A bigger practical issue is congestion in the busiest halls, where every handset in the check-in and waiting areas is leaning on the same access points. The decisive limit is that the Wi-Fi does not follow you onto the train: once the service pulls out from under the airport you are back on whatever line you are carrying. Arrivare in città

Three ways into Stockholm are actually used: the fast airport express, slower regional trains, and coaches that run to the central bus terminal. They differ in journey time and frequency rather than only in price, and all of them sell primarily through an app on your phone. The leg into town is light on data, mostly a map, a live departure check and a message to your accommodation. Take the coach in heavy traffic, though, and the navigation app will recalculate repeatedly and drain more battery than you planned for. If you are continuing to a town further north, look up the long-distance timetable while you are still inside the terminal rather than on a cold platform.
