eSIM انسٹال ہے مگر سگنل نہیں: کیسے ٹھیک کریں

Quick answer

  • Toggle airplane mode for ten seconds — the single most effective fix.
  • Confirm data roaming is on for the eSIM line.
  • If it still fails, select the network manually instead of automatically.

Work through in order

  1. Toggle airplane mode
  2. Check the eSIM line is enabled
  3. Enable data roaming on the eSIM line
  4. Set the eSIM as the data line
  5. Restart the phone
  6. Select a network manually from those listed on your plan page

How to select a network manually

On iPhone: Cellular → the eSIM line → Network Selection, turn Automatic off and pick from the list. On Android the same option sits under that line's mobile network menu. The scan can take up to a minute.

If you have just landed, give it five minutes — some networks take a while to register a new device.

When to contact us

If you have done everything and still have no service after fifteen minutes, contact us with your phone model, the country you are in, and your order number.

Start by reading what the screen is telling you

Before tapping anything, spend a moment on the top of the screen. What is displayed there already tells you which layer the fault sits in. If there is no network name at all, or it reads No Service, the phone has not found a network yet. That is a completely different problem from having a network name and full bars while no page will load. The two are fixed in different ways, and working through them without separating them first usually ends with several settings changed at once and no idea which one mattered.

Also look at which network name appears. If it is your Thai operator, the phone is showing the status of the Thai SIM rather than the eSIM line — an extremely common confusion on a two-line phone. Open the cellular or mobile network settings and look at each line's status separately; it is far clearer than reading the status bar alone.

If you landed only a few minutes ago, wait five minutes before starting. Registering a new device on a foreign network sometimes takes a while, and a fair number of cases clear on their own with no action at all.

Three faults people all call no signal

The phrase no signal gets used for three very different situations: the phone finding no network at all, the phone finding a network but no data moving, and data moving so slowly that nothing is usable. Each has its own set of causes, and knowing which one you are in removes about half the steps you would otherwise try. If you are travelling with others, ask whether their phones are doing the same thing — when every phone in the group is affected, the location is usually the cause rather than any one handset.

Separating the symptom first is faster than trying every fix

When it says No Service and never changes

This means the phone has not registered with any network on that line. The first thing to confirm is that the eSIM line is switched on, not merely installed — an installed profile with the line turned off will never look for a network. Plenty of people deliberately switch it off at home as advised and then forget to switch it back on after landing, which is one of the leading causes of exactly this symptom and the reason to check it before anything else.

Next is airplane mode. Some phones come back from airplane mode with only the primary line awake, leaving the second one idle. Holding airplane mode on for about ten seconds and then off forces the whole network search to begin again. If nothing changes, restart the phone once — unlike the airplane-mode toggle, a restart resets the radio stack more completely.

If neither helps, use the manual network selection described above and look at the list the phone returns. If the list comes back completely empty, the problem lies with the line itself or with where you are standing, not with picking the wrong network — move somewhere open or next to a window and scan again before concluding anything.

Bars on the screen, but nothing loads

Here the phone has registered with a network but data is not flowing. Two causes account for most of it. First, the phone is still using the Thai SIM as its data line while that SIM has data roaming switched off — so it is trying to use the one line you have forbidden to carry data. Second, data roaming has not been turned on for the eSIM line, which it needs, because a travel plan works by roaming onto local networks.

Turning on data roaming for the eSIM line does not create charges from your Thai operator — it is a separate line. What you must avoid is switching on data roaming for the Thai SIM at the same time.

If both are set correctly and it still fails, look for other switches quietly blocking the connection: a data-saver mode, per-app data restrictions, or a VPN left running since the last trip. A VPN that cannot establish its tunnel makes everything look like no connectivity while the line underneath is working perfectly.

A safe reset order

  1. 1Toggle airplane modeHold it on for about ten seconds before switching it off, so the phone drops the old connection properly before searching again.
  2. 2Check each line separatelyIn the cellular settings, confirm the eSIM line is enabled, is set as the data line, and has data roaming on.
  3. 3Restart the phonePower it off properly and back on, not just lock the screen. This resets the radio more thoroughly than an airplane-mode toggle.
  4. 4Select a network manuallyTurn automatic selection off and pick from the list. The scan can take up to a minute, so let it finish before choosing.
  5. 5Try the next network on the listIf the first one fails to register, work down the networks listed on your plan page one at a time.
  6. 6Stop and ask for helpIf you have done all of the above without success, stop changing settings and contact us with the details listed in the table below.
Do not delete the eSIM profile hoping to reinstall it. Most QR codes work only once, so deleting can leave you unable to install it again at all — the hardest of all these problems to recover from.

When the plan has not started yet, or has already finished

Sometimes the device and every setting are correct but the plan is simply not inside its usable window. When validity starts differs by supplier: some begin counting at the first network connection, others from a date you choose. The terms for the plan you bought are on its own page and in your confirmation email, and that is where to read them, because they are not the same across suppliers and we cannot summarise them all here.

The other case is the high-speed allowance running out earlier than expected — the connection either slows noticeably or stops, depending on the plan's terms. What burns through an allowance is rarely ordinary browsing; it is automatic photo upload, background app updates, or video that keeps playing when nobody is watching. Switch those three off first and see whether the symptom changes.

The profile that never actually installed

Another case looks like no signal but is really a profile that never finished installing. It usually happens when installation was interrupted — the Wi-Fi dropped, a call came in, or the screen was dismissed before it reported completion. What you are left with is a half-present line entry with no real operator information behind it, or no entry at all.

To check, open the list of lines in settings and see whether the trip's eSIM line is genuinely there with complete details. If it is missing or looks wrong, do not start rescanning the QR yourself — contact us with the order number and describe what happened during installation. That description gets the problem diagnosed far faster than repeated attempts.

Saver modes and settings that quietly block you

Battery saver and low data mode are designed to cut background activity, and sometimes they cut so much that it resembles a broken connection: chat apps stop notifying, mail does not fetch, pages load strangely slowly on full bars. If you enabled one of them while the battery was low on the plane, switch it off before concluding the plan is faulty.

Also check per-app data restrictions, which people often set once and forget, along with any content filter or custom DNS. If you configured any of those in the past, put them back to default temporarily to rule them out, then restore them once you know what the cause was.

When the place is the problem, not the phone

Mobile coverage drops sharply in basements, car parks, lifts, metro tunnels and remote areas. Working through settings in those places achieves very little, because the fault is not in the phone. Go up a floor, step outside, or wait until you are somewhere the people around you are clearly online, and reassess there.

Border crossings confuse things too: the phone may still be holding a network from the country you just left. Toggle airplane mode once to force it to register in the country you are actually in, and confirm that this country is genuinely on your plan's coverage list, which is shown on the page of the plan you bought.

Reading the result after a manual selection

The outcome of a manual selection tells you more than people expect. An immediate registration failure means that network will not accept your line, so move to the next name on the list. A long silence that ends back at No Service usually means that network is simply too weak where you are standing. And if it connects straight away, stop there rather than testing the others out of curiosity.

Once it is working, set network selection back to automatic before you travel on. Otherwise the phone stays pinned to that one network and loses service when you move city or cross a border.

What not to do while troubleshooting

  • Do not delete the eSIM profile under any circumstances until we have confirmed it is safe
  • Do not factory-reset the phone hoping to fix a signal problem
  • Do not change several settings at once, or you will never know which one worked
  • Do not switch on data roaming for the Thai SIM as a test — your operator may charge for it
  • Do not buy a second plan before checking whether the fault is simply a setting
  • Do not pull the Thai SIM out mid-troubleshooting — you may need that number for a verification code

What to have ready before you contact us

If you reach the point of asking for help, the first message you send decides how quickly this ends. A message saying only that it does not work forces a round of questions back and forth, which costs hours across time zones. Send everything in the table below at once instead.

What to sendWhy it matters
Order numberIt identifies exactly which plan is yours
Phone model and OS versionMenus and behaviour differ from model to model
The country and city you are in nowWhich networks are usable depends on where you are
A screenshot of the cellular settingsIt shows the per-line status without a question-and-answer round
The steps you have already triedSo we do not ask you to repeat what you have done

Sending all five in one message saves the most time

You can reach us on LINE at https://lin.ee/skDPoNx (@esimonline), by email at esimonline.asia@gmail.com, or by phone at 089-942-0818 or 088-521-6848. We take messages around the clock, every day. While you wait, connect to hotel or restaurant Wi-Fi so the trip does not stall on our reply.

اکثر پوچھے گئے سوالات

How long should I wait after toggling airplane mode before treating it as a real fault?+

Give it about five minutes, since registering a new device on a foreign network can genuinely take that long. If no network name has appeared after five minutes, move on to restarting the phone and selecting a network manually, in the order set out on this page.

Why do I have full bars but no page will load?+

Bars only mean the phone has registered on a network; they say nothing about data flowing. Check three things: whether the eSIM is set as the data line, whether data roaming is on for that line, and whether a data-saver mode or a leftover VPN is in the way. Most cases end there.

Will deleting the profile and reinstalling help?+

You should not. Most QR codes install only once, so deleting the profile may leave you unable to install it again. If you have worked through this page without success, contact us with your order number and a screenshot before deleting anything at all.

It worked after I picked a network manually — should I set it back to automatic?+

Yes. Once service is stable, set selection back to automatic before you travel on, because a phone pinned to one network will lose service when you move city or cross a border.

Data works but is very slow — is that the plan?+

It might be, and it might not. Speed depends on the local network, how busy it is where you are standing, and the terms of the plan you bought. Move somewhere else and test again first, then compare the data you have used against the terms stated on the plan page and in your confirmation email.

The Thai SIM works fine but the eSIM has no service — what does that mean?+

It means neither the handset nor the location is the problem, since one line is working. Focus on the eSIM line alone: confirm it is enabled, that data roaming is on for it, and that the plan is inside its usable window under the supplier's terms — then try a manual network selection.
