eSIM installed but no signal: how to fix it

Respuesta rápida

  • Toggle airplane mode for ten seconds — the single most effective fix.
  • Confirm data roaming is on for the eSIM line.
  • If it still fails, select the network manually instead of automatically.

Preguntas frecuentes

How long should I wait after toggling airplane mode before treating it as a real fault?+

Give it about five minutes, since registering a new device on a foreign network can genuinely take that long. If no network name has appeared after five minutes, move on to restarting the phone and selecting a network manually, in the order set out on this page.

Why do I have full bars but no page will load?+

Bars only mean the phone has registered on a network; they say nothing about data flowing. Check three things: whether the eSIM is set as the data line, whether data roaming is on for that line, and whether a data-saver mode or a leftover VPN is in the way. Most cases end there.

Will deleting the profile and reinstalling help?+

You should not. Most QR codes install only once, so deleting the profile may leave you unable to install it again. If you have worked through this page without success, contact us with your order number and a screenshot before deleting anything at all.

It worked after I picked a network manually — should I set it back to automatic?+

Yes. Once service is stable, set selection back to automatic before you travel on, because a phone pinned to one network will lose service when you move city or cross a border.

Data works but is very slow — is that the plan?+

It might be, and it might not. Speed depends on the local network, how busy it is where you are standing, and the terms of the plan you bought. Move somewhere else and test again first, then compare the data you have used against the terms stated on the plan page and in your confirmation email.

The Thai SIM works fine but the eSIM has no service — what does that mean?+

It means neither the handset nor the location is the problem, since one line is working. Focus on the eSIM line alone: confirm it is enabled, that data roaming is on for it, and that the plan is inside its usable window under the supplier's terms — then try a manual network selection.
