Research hub

This page gathers everything we publish as data rather than advice: price tables computed from the live catalogue, network lists we can verify, the device list, and explainers on how roaming data actually travels. Each entry says where its information comes from.

Explainers behind the data

How a travel eSIM's data actually gets routedAn eSIM profile belongs to its issuing network, not the country you happen to be standing in. This walks through where data really travels: authentication, the gateway that hands out your IP address, and why a website can end up thinking you are somewhere else.Đọc thêm Why a website thinks you are in another country on a travel eSIMYour map app has the right city, but some website is convinced you are somewhere else entirely. That is not a broken phone — it is two different location systems disagreeing with each other.Đọc thêm Mobile frequency bands explained: why some phones catch a weaker signalInstalling an eSIM says nothing about whether your phone supports the frequency bands a local network actually runs on. Here is what a band is, how low, mid and high bands differ, and how to check your exact model before you travel.Đọc thêm Latency and ping on a travel eSIM: why fast data can still stutterDownload speed and latency are not the same measurement. This guide explains what ping actually is, where the delay along the path comes from, why some roaming setups route traffic to a gateway in another country, and how to read a speed test result abroad without fooling yourself.Đọc thêm Refurbished and imported phones: what to check before you rely on eSIMA refurbished or imported handset can be a good deal, but the model sold in one market is not always the model sold in yours. Here is what to verify about eSIM hardware, carrier lock and the previous owner's accounts before you buy.Đọc thêm Mạng đối tác chuyển vùng thực sự hoạt động như thế nàoHiểu được bạn đang kết nối vào mạng nào, và vì sao, giúp việc khắc phục sự cố dễ dàng hơn nhiều.Đọc thêm 3G, 4G và 5G: sự khác biệt có ý nghĩa gì với người du lịchĐiều ảnh hưởng đến bạn không phải là con số, mà là những gì gói cước và mạng địa phương hỗ trợ.Đọc thêm Điều gì thực sự quyết định tốc độ mạng di động của bạn ở nước ngoàiTốc độ thực tế là tổng hợp của nhiều yếu tố, mà hầu hết không gói cước nào kiểm soát được.Đọc thêm Quy định đăng ký SIM ở nước ngoài: những điều cần hiểuNhiều quốc gia yêu cầu đăng ký SIM địa phương, điều này ảnh hưởng trực tiếp đến lựa chọn của người du lịch.Đọc thêm

What a record goes through before it is published

  1. Draft
  2. Fact check against the source
  3. Written in all three core languages
  4. Native reader review
  5. Published with its check date
  6. Re-checked, or marked outdated

Records that have not passed every step stay in our system but are not shown. Where a fact has not been confirmed by an official source, we say it is not verified rather than guess.

What we do not publish

  • Speed or ping figures we did not measure ourselves.
  • Claims that a network or plan is the best, without data behind them.
  • Regulations quoted from blogs or other sellers instead of the authority itself.
If you cite any of these pages, cite the updated or checked date shown on it as well: prices, networks and rules change.

Câu hỏi thường gặp

Where does the data on this page come from?+

Three places: the catalogue of packages we actually sell (prices and networks), documents that manufacturers and authorities publish themselves (devices and regulations), and industry standards such as 3GPP and IETF documents (the technical explainers). Each page lists its own sources.

Do you publish real speed or ping measurements?+

Not yet. We do not publish figures we have not measured ourselves. When we do, every result will carry its date, place, device, the network it attached to and the method, so it can be repeated.

What if something here is wrong?+

Tell us through the corrections page. We re-check against the original source and correct the page.
