Do the arithmetic first
Estimate your daily use and multiply by the number of days. If a pooled plan of that size costs less than the daily plan's total, the pool is the better buy for that trip.

| Criterion | Per day | Whole trip |
|---|---|---|
| Rollover | Unused data disappears each day | Flexible across the whole validity |
| Heavy days | Capped by that day's quota | Draws from the shared pool |
| Days spent on hotel WiFi | That day's quota is wasted | The allowance stays for other days |
| Usage discipline | Stops you burning everything early | You have to pace yourself |
Pick Per day
Best when every day looks alike and you fear running dry mid-trip.
Pick Whole trip
Best when heavy and light days alternate, like meeting days or long transit days.
