How much data you actually need
About 700MB–1.2GB a day for maps, chat and bookings. If you join online meetings or video call the office daily, budget closer to 2GB a day so a long call does not eat the whole allowance.
When you land
Changi (SIN) has service in every terminal including Jewel, so switch the eSIM on before the MRT or before ordering a ride and you can share your pickup point straight away. Seletar (XSP) handles mostly short regional flights.

Do I need a second plan for a day trip to Malaysia?+
If your plan covers Singapore only, then yes, because once you cross to Johor Bahru the phone attaches to a Malaysian network that sits outside the coverage area. The simpler route is an ASEAN or Asia regional plan that lists both countries from the start, so you are not switching profiles while stuck on the causeway.
Should I install the eSIM before flying or at Changi?+
Install it while you are still in Thailand on your home Wi-Fi, because scanning the QR code and downloading the profile both need an internet connection. You can leave the actual activation until you arrive. Doing it this way means that if something looks wrong you can still reach the team on LINE @esimonline or by email at esimonline.asia@gmail.com before you fly.
Does a Singapore plan come with a local phone number?+
Check the product page for the plan you are looking at, because some are data-only. If you need SMS codes from a Thai bank, keep your Thai line switched on for messages and let the eSIM carry the data. When does a Singapore eSIM start counting days?+
