How to check on the phone

  1. Open Settings → Network & internet → SIMs
  2. Tap Add SIM, then Download a SIM instead
  3. Japanese units often boot in Japanese — switching the language to English makes the menu much easier to find

Things to know

  • Handsets bought through docomo, au or SoftBank use different model codes from the SIM-free versions, and some are still network locked.
  • AQUOS is barely sold officially in Thailand, so service and warranty are worth thinking through in advance.
Compatibility information is compiled from manufacturer specifications and public carrier documentation. We do not test every handset ourselves, and the same model can differ by sales market, so always check your own device's settings before buying a plan.
