TCL and eSIM
TCL builds budget phones and tablets. The mainstream models are physical SIM, apart from some units sold through US carriers that do have eSIM enabled.

How to check on the phone
- Open Settings → Network & internet → SIMs
- If the page shows only physical slots and no download option, that model does not support it
- Dial *#06# and look for an EID — if one shows, the chip is really there
Things to know
- TCL sells the same hardware under different names by market, so the name on the box does not settle whether there is an eSIM.
- US carrier units are usually network locked and must be unlocked before another operator's profile will install.
