Terms of service
The terms that apply when you buy and use an eSIM through eSIMonline.
Last updated September 6, 2026

Orders and delivery
- An order is complete when payment succeeds; only then is the eSIM profile ordered from the provider.
- We send the QR code and installation steps to the email you enter, so please check it is correct.
- A QR code can normally be installed once. Deleting the profile may make it impossible to reinstall.

Fair use
Unlimited plans are subject to the operator's fair usage policy, which may reduce speed after a stated volume. The details appear on each plan page.
Limitation of liability
We cannot guarantee network speed or coverage abroad, as it is outside our control. Our liability is limited to the amount you paid for the plan in question.
How to read this document
This document is written to be read without a law degree. The point is that you know before paying what you are buying, who is responsible for which part, and what nobody can guarantee. If any passage still reads as vague, ask before you buy. Questions about terms are questions worth asking, not an inconvenience.
There is a second set of terms that always applies to you: those of the supplier behind each plan. We are not a network owner but a seller of plans that run on other people's networks. Details such as when validity begins, what counts as beyond normal use, or which partner network serves a given country are set by that supplier, not by us.
Who these terms are between, and what they cover
These terms are between you as the buyer and eSIMonline as a seller of traveller data plans. They cover visiting esimonline.asia, ordering through the site, and the after-sales help you get from us. They do not cover what you do with another seller, even if you reached that seller through a link on our site.
If you buy on behalf of a company, the person placing the order is taken to have authority to bind that company for the transaction, and these same terms apply to business orders as to individual ones. Anything additional about documents or payment arrangements is set out separately in the quotation for that case.
What you are actually buying
You are buying the right to use a data allowance, in the coverage area and for the validity stated on the plan page, delivered as an eSIM profile installed on your handset. It is not a physical SIM card and not a monthly contract with any operator. When the allowance or the validity runs out, the plan ends, with no automatic renewal unless the plan page says otherwise in plain terms.
Most traveller plans are data-only. A dialling number and inbound SMS may not be included, and each plan page states which applies. If you need to receive bank verification codes by SMS while abroad, check this before buying — it is the single most common reason someone feels they received something other than what they expected.
What you must check before ordering
Some facts only you can verify, because they concern the handset in your hand and the trip you have planned. Checking them is therefore the buyer's responsibility, and the refund policy follows the same principle: what was checkable before purchase is not normally refundable afterwards.
- That your handset supports eSIM — check the model, and the settings menu, whose path differs by manufacturer and OS version.
- That the handset is not carrier-locked. A phone bought on an operator contract may refuse another provider's profile until it is unlocked.
- That every country you will visit is inside the plan's coverage — including layover countries if you will leave the airport.
- That the validity reaches your return date, not just the days with meetings or bookings on them.
- That the allowance matches how you actually use data, rather than being the cheapest line in the list.
- That the email address you enter is correct, since it is the only place the profile and instructions will be sent.

Ordering and payment
An order is complete when payment succeeds; only then is the profile ordered from the supplier. Before that, an item sitting in a cart or on a checkout page binds nobody. We may decline an order where there is reasonable suspicion of fraud, or where the details are too incomplete to deliver — in which case we will tell you and refund in full anything already charged.
Payment is handled by an external payment provider rather than by us, which means that provider's terms and your card issuer's terms also apply to the transaction. Wholly on their side are the exchange rate used, any currency-conversion fee, how you are verified before a charge is approved, and how long a refund takes to show on your statement.
The price shown on the site is the price in force while you are looking at it. Prices and plan details can change in line with the terms we receive from suppliers. Changes are not applied retroactively to an order that has already been paid for.
Plan prices are held in USD and converted into your selected currency for display. The price shown is final and includes any applicable tax: checkout adds no separate tax line and there is no delivery charge. You are charged exactly the amount and currency displayed at checkout; any conversion fee your card issuer adds is separate from that.
Delivery and installation
- 1Payment succeedsThe order is recorded and you receive a confirmation email carrying the order number. Keep that email; it is the fastest reference point if you ever need support.
- 2The profile is ordered from the supplierThis is normally automatic and quick, though a supplier may occasionally run an additional check, which is outside our control. If it is unusually delayed, we will tell you.
- 3You receive the QR code and instructionsSent to the address you entered at checkout. If it is not there, check the spam folder first — mail containing images and links often lands there.
- 4Install while you still have Wi-FiDo this before you leave, not at the destination airport, because installing needs an internet connection — and installing is a separate step from switching the line on.
- 5Enable the line on arrivalSet the new line as the one used for mobile data, enable data roaming for it, and give the phone a moment to find a local network.
When validity starts
The most misunderstood question is when the clock starts. The answer is not the same for every plan: some begin at first connection to a network, some run from a date you choose in advance, and some start as soon as installation completes. This is defined by the supplier of that plan and stated on the plan page.
In practice, if you install and switch on while still at home, some plans start counting immediately and the time you paid for runs down before you have travelled. The safe approach is to install in advance but leave the line switched off until you arrive, unless the plan page tells you otherwise.
When the validity ends or the allowance is exhausted, the connection stops. Unused data does not carry over to a later plan, and there is no refund for what you did not use, unless that plan's own terms say something different.
Networks, coverage and speed
Plans run over operators' networks in the destination country. We do not own those networks and cannot control signal quality in any particular place. For that reason we do not guarantee speed, continuity or coverage at any specific location — and no eSIM seller is in a position to guarantee it either.
Plenty of factors affecting quality sit outside anybody's hands: building construction, how many people are using the same cell, terrain, the operator's own maintenance, and the limits of the handset itself. Slower speed than hoped is therefore not automatically a service failure.
What does count as a failure is a profile that genuinely does not work — no connection at all despite correct installation inside the coverage area. In that case, contact us with the handset details and screenshots so it can be investigated with the supplier.
Fair use and acceptable use
Plans advertised as unlimited sit under the operator's fair usage policy, which may reduce speed after a stated volume. Both the volume and how the reduction works belong to each supplier and appear in that plan's details; they are not figures we set.
| Type of use | Status | Note |
|---|---|---|
| Ordinary personal use while travelling | Fine | Covers browsing, maps, messaging and normal video calls |
| Tethering to your own laptop | Depends on the plan | Some plans allow it, some restrict it — check the plan details before relying on it |
| Using it as a permanent home connection | Not what the plan is for | Traveller plans are designed for temporary use while abroad |
| Reselling or commercially redistributing the connection | Not permitted without a written agreement | If you want to resell, talk to us case by case first |
| Use in activity unlawful where you are | Not permitted | The law that applies is that of the country you are in at the time |

Cancellation, refunds and putting things right
Which cases qualify for a refund is set out on its own page in the refund policy. The principle in short: a plan not yet installed and not yet started is normally considered for a refund, while a plan already installed and used — or one where the problem was checkable before purchase, such as an unsupported or locked handset — normally is not.
If a profile genuinely does not work, we always troubleshoot first, because getting you online during the trip is worth more than a refund after it. When troubleshooting fails and the fault is confirmed to be on the supplier side, the case moves to a refund. Investigating with the supplier needs information from you: the handset model, the country you are in, and screenshots.

What after-sales support covers
We help on LINE, by email, and by phone at 089-942-0818 / 088-521-6848, around the clock, every day. Support covers installation, the connection-related settings, checking the status of an order placed with us, and liaising with the supplier when the fault looks like a network one.
Outside that scope: general device problems unrelated to eSIM, recovering data on the phone, unlocking a handset tied to another operator, and anything concerning an order you placed with a different seller, whose systems we cannot access.
Limitation of liability
Our liability for any one order is limited to the amount you paid for that plan. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising because a connection did not behave as hoped — changed travel costs, lost business opportunities, or other expenses incurred while travelling.
Nothing in that limitation removes rights given to you by the consumer law applying to your case which cannot be excluded by contract. The scope of those rights differs by country. If you need to know which law applies to your situation, check with the consumer authority where you are, because we cannot give you legal advice.
| Area | Who is responsible |
|---|---|
| Taking the order, delivering the profile, providing support | Us |
| Signal quality, speed, and which partner network serves each country | The local operator and the plan's supplier |
| When validity starts, and the fair usage policy | The plan's supplier |
| Exchange rate, card fees, and how long a refund takes to land | The payment provider and your card issuer |
| Handset compatibility, unlocking, and the settings on the device | You as the owner of the handset, with guidance from us |
| Legal requirements in the country you are using it in | That country's law |

Content on this site
The guides, articles and calculators on this site are information to help you decide, not legal, financial or case-specific technical advice. Figures from a calculator are estimates built on the assumptions it states, not a promise about your own consumption.
Menu paths in our guides describe the common patterns, but where a menu actually sits varies by manufacturer and OS version, and moves when an update lands. If your phone does not match the guide, look for the nearest equivalent heading, or ask us with the model and OS version to hand.
Content on the site belongs to eSIMonline or to those who licensed it to us. You may read it, share links, and quote portions with attribution. Copying whole pages for commercial republication needs permission first.
Personal data
What we collect, why, and for how long is covered in the privacy policy on its own page. In short, we ask for what delivering your order and helping you afterwards requires, and data held by the supplier behind a plan sits under that supplier's own policy.
Requests about personal data — access, correction or deletion — should come by email with something that helps confirm who you are. The rights you hold and the time limits for responding are set by the data-protection law applying to your case, which differs from country to country.
Offers from other sellers
Some pages point to offers from other sellers. When you buy from one of them, the contract is between you and them, not with us: their terms, their refund policy, their support. We have no access to your order in their system and cannot check its status for you.
What we can still do is offer general technical guidance on installing and configuring, free and regardless of where you bought. Anything requiring access to the order, or a reissued profile, has to go back to the original seller.
Changes to these terms
These terms may be revised as the service changes, or when a supplier's requirements or the applicable law change. The version that governs your order is the one published when you placed it; later revisions do not reach back and alter what was already agreed.
This page remains a launch version and will be aligned with the connected provider's contract before full selling begins. Wording in the clauses that depend on that contract may therefore change, and we will not apply such changes retroactively to earlier orders.
Governing law and disputes
eSIMonline operates from Thailand and these terms are written in that context. The final wording on governing law and jurisdiction will be confirmed alongside the provider contract before full selling begins, so we are not stating language here that has not yet been reviewed.
If a dispute arises, contact us first. Most things that look like a dispute turn out to be a misunderstanding about validity, coverage or the installation steps, all of which are explained and fixed far faster than any other route. Whatever happens, the consumer rights that apply to you remain.
Asking about these terms
If anything here is unclear, or you want to know which clause applies to your situation, email esimonline.asia@gmail.com or message LINE @esimonline at https://lin.ee/skDPoNx. Include the plan or order number concerned and we can answer for your actual case rather than in generalities.
FAQ
Do these terms cover offers from other sellers linked here?+
No. Buying from another seller creates a contract with them, and their terms, refund policy and support apply. We can only offer general technical guidance in that situation.
When does the validity period start?+
It depends on the plan: some start at first connection, some on a date you set, some at successful installation. The supplier defines it and the plan page states it. The safe approach is to install before you travel but leave the line off until you arrive.
If the speed is slower than I hoped, can I get a refund?+
Normally not, because speed is never guaranteed — it depends on the local network and the conditions where you are. A profile that does not connect at all despite correct installation inside the coverage area is a different case, and you should tell us straight away.
Can I delete the profile and install it again?+
Normally no. A QR code installs once, by the nature of eSIM, and deleting it yourself then being unable to reinstall is not a ground for a refund. If you need to change or reset your handset, contact us before doing it.
Can I keep using the plan permanently in my own country?+
Traveller plans are built for temporary use while abroad, not as a standing replacement for a domestic service. What is allowed in your home country varies by plan and supplier, so check that plan's details first.
If the terms change after I buy, do the changes apply to me?+
No. The version governing your order is the one published when you ordered, and later revisions are not retroactive. If you want a record, save this page alongside your order confirmation email.
