Ooredoo и travel eSIM в Катар

Ooredoo: коротко

Ooredoo Qatar states on its own Supernet page that it launched a commercially available 5G network in 2018, with about 70% of Qatar covered by 5G.

Ooredoo's bands and technology

An eSIM can only use Ooredoo if your phone supports at least one band in this table. Before you fly, open your model's spec page on the maker's site and compare its LTE and 5G band lists.

Ooredoo's coverage map

Ooredoo publishes its own coverage map. Look up the street or district you will stay in rather than the country as a whole, because coverage in town and out of town differs a great deal. The map shows Ooredoo's own network; a roaming plan may not get every technology it shows.

Who licenses Ooredoo

Mobile networks in Qatar are licensed, and their spectrum assigned, by the Communications Regulatory Authority (CRA). The bands above are the ones it allocates. A problem with the local network's own service goes to the operator first; a problem with your eSIM plan comes to us.

From the supplier record behind each package, 63 of the 63 plans we currently sell for Qatar declare Ooredoo as a network the profile can reach, at 4G and 5G. The figure comes from the same catalogue that prices the plan pages, and it moves when the supplier revises the record.

Nearly every travel eSIM is a roaming product: the profile picks a network by an order the supplier sets, not by the buyer. If Ooredoo is weak where you are, try selecting Vodafone Qatar manually in the network settings, and keep data roaming on for the eSIM profile.
