Telenor and Tele2 jointly own the Net4Mobility radio network in Sweden, so Telenor's LTE and 5G coverage runs on the same shared masts as Tele2's. Telenor's UMTS (3G) network was shut down in December 2025.

Telenor publishes its own coverage map. Look up the street or district you will stay in rather than the country as a whole, because coverage in town and out of town differs a great deal. The map shows Telenor's own network; a roaming plan may not get every technology it shows.

Who licenses Telenor

Mobile networks in Sweden are licensed, and their spectrum assigned, by the Swedish Post and Telecom Authority (PTS). The bands above are the ones it allocates. A problem with the local network's own service goes to the operator first; a problem with your eSIM plan comes to us.

Nearly every travel eSIM is a roaming product: the profile picks a network by an order the supplier sets, not by the buyer. If Telenor Sweden is weak where you are, try selecting Tele2 or Telia or Tre (3) manually in the network settings, and keep data roaming on for the eSIM profile.
