Which eSIM for Singapore in 2026? Choosing for a short 3 to 5 day trip
A short Singapore trip does not need much data, but the plan type and network (Singtel, StarHub, M1) should match how you travel.

Коротко
- A 3 to 5 day Singapore trip usually fits in about 2 to 5 GB on a data-only eSIM, since the city is compact and Wi-Fi is common, so unlimited is rarely needed.
- A plan that names Singtel, StarHub or M1 and has clear refund terms makes the choice easier than comparing price alone.
- If you plan to cross into Johor, pick a plan whose page lists both Singapore and Malaysia, and check it works at the border crossing.
This guide draws on each brand's published plans, policies and help pages as of October 2026. It is not based on a test trip, and it lists no prices because they change weekly. This site also sells eSIMs, so it appears in the list as one option.

Singapore networks and the 3G switch-off
Singapore has Singtel, StarHub, M1 and SIMBA. Our plans use Singtel, M1 or StarHub depending on the plan, and the plan page names the network, so you can compare before you pay.
Third-party reports say Singapore switched off 3G on 31 July 2024. We have not confirmed that with the operators. In practice your phone needs 4G or VoLTE, so check the network settings before you fly.

Which options suit a short trip
| Вариант | Подходит, когда | На что обратить внимание |
|---|---|---|
| AIS SIM2Fly | You prefer a Thai carrier and are happy to get the QR through myAIS | A separate AIS number, Thai ID to register, and use abroad within 60 days of opening |
| True GO Travel MyPlan | You want to choose country, days and data yourself | A separate TrueMove H number with no bundled calls or SMS, and 128 Kbps after the quota |
| Airalo | Пакеты для You want fixed-GB packages, with top-ups on many | Refunds only on eligible orders, and a change of plans may come back as Airmoney only |
| Nomad | You buy a small fixed-GB pack and want a refund if it is never installed | Unlimited plans are non-refundable, and add-ons do not extend validity |
| Holafly | You like a per-day unlimited price without counting GB | A fair-use clause, limited hotspot, and no top-ups any more |
| This site | You want to pay in THB, skip the app and get the QR by email | Data only with no number; self-service refund within 14 days if not installed |
- Whether the plan page names the network and states plainly if it is data only or comes with a number.
- Whether the plan starts counting days at installation or at the first connection in Singapore.
- The hotspot terms and the refund rule if you never use the plan.
Compare the current price for your exact dates on every option, and note which network the plan names. If a brand does not state the network on the plan page, ask support before buying.
A short trip keeps the decision simple. If data runs out midway, a brand with top-ups, such as Airalo on many plans, can help, but Holafly no longer offers top-ups and you would buy a new plan instead.

How much data for 3 to 5 days
Getting around Singapore leans on the MRT and maps, and hotels and malls commonly have Wi-Fi, so short trips use little data. Use this as a starting point.
| Длительность поездки | Light use | От умеренного до высокого расхода |
|---|---|---|
| 3 дня | About 2 GB | About 3 GB |
| 4 дн. | About 3 GB | About 5 GB |
| 5 дней | About 3 GB | About 5 to 10 GB |
An unlimited plan that slows past a daily threshold, such as Airalo's drop to 1 Mbps after 3 GB a day, is rarely needed for a trip this small.

Wireless@SG and SMS verification
Wireless@SG is Singapore's public Wi-Fi, and signing up commonly asks for an OTP by SMS according to its official site, which you should recheck. A data-only eSIM has no local number to receive that SMS, which is a reason to treat the eSIM as your main connection.

Crossing into Johor: which plan
If you plan to cross into Johor in Malaysia, the operators there are CelcomDigi, Maxis, U Mobile and Unifi Mobile. Check that the plan page lists both Singapore and Malaysia, and whether it works on the causeway itself. If that is unclear, two separate plans are the safer route.
How to pick a combined plan is covered in “One eSIM for Singapore and Malaysia: How to Choose”.
Choosing in four steps
- 1Проверьте свой телефонConfirm the phone supports eSIM and 4G or VoLTE.

- 3Read network and refund termsOpen the plan page, note whether it names Singtel, StarHub or M1, and read the refund terms.
- 4Install before flyingInstall at home on Wi-Fi and switch it on when you land in Singapore.
Частые вопросы
Вопросы и ответы
How many GB for a 3-day Singapore trip?+
About 2 to 3 GB covers maps, chat and ride-hailing. If you watch video often or share a hotspot, allow around 5 GB.
Is an eSIM really needed in such a small city?+
Hotels and malls commonly have Wi-Fi, but having your own data is easier on the MRT or while waiting for a ride, and Wireless@SG may ask for an SMS code.
Can a data-only eSIM receive calls to my Thai number?+
No. A data-only eSIM has no number. Keep your Thai SIM on for calls and SMS, or use a data-based calling app.
Can I get a refund if I never use it?+
It depends on the brand. On this site you can request a refund yourself within 14 days if it is not installed. Nomad refunds within 30 days if it was never installed or activated. Check current terms before buying.
