Fifteen days reaches both the east coast and the far south, so you have to think about weak-signal areas and days without Wi-Fi.

Quick answer
| Level of use | Roughly per day | Total for 15 days |
|---|---|---|
| Light: maps, chat, email | 0.4GB | 7GB |
| Normal: social, photos, short video | 0.9GB | 16GB |
| Heavy: streaming, video calls, hotspot | 1.9GB | 33GB |
Daily use times the days, plus 15 percent for app updates and photo backup. An estimate, not a measurement of your phone.

Fifteen days allows a loop: four nights in Seoul, three up on the east coast at Gangneung or Sokcho for the sea and the Seorak mountains, four south through Gyeongju and Busan, then a few more in Jeonju or Jeju. You mix intercity buses, KTX and hire cars, so data use is uneven.
We sell a 3 GB fixed Korea plan valid 15 days, matching the trip but small, which only suits people on Wi-Fi nearly all the time. For normal use, the 20 GB plan valid 30 days is the one that covers it; the extra fifteen days of validity go unused but cost little thought. The 10 GB plan works for light users.
Daily plans pay off when heavy and light days alternate clearly: a coastal driving day burns data while a café-and-rest day needs little. On a trip this long, picking too low a daily tier leaves many days throttled, so choose a tier high enough for the heavy days.

Fifteen-day trips tend to have an excited first week that burns data and a second week with routine and more reliance on hotel Wi-Fi. A simple pace is to give roughly 11 GB of a 20 GB plan to week one and 9 GB to week two, checking usage on day seven. If you are past half, adjust: turn off automatic photo upload, download music and series on Wi-Fi, and use offline maps in cities you already know.
Estimates are 7 GB light, 16 GB normal and 33 GB heavy, so heavy use exceeds the 20 GB plan. If you plan lots of video or work from the phone, think about a larger plan or a second one alongside.
Sokcho and Gangneung towns are normal, but deep trails may drop out in patches, so download the trail map beforehand.
The extra validity goes unused, but 20 GB matches the 16 GB need for this trip. Choosing by volume matters more than by validity.
Continuous navigation needs spare data and offline maps. Check driving rules and documents with the rental firm and official sources.

Prices are for the whole 15-day trip: a daily plan is its day price times 15. Only plans that last the trip and clear the light-use estimate.
