Why does the same model support eSIM in one country but not another?

Makers ship different hardware variants per market; some drop the eSIM chip in favour of two physical SIM slots. This is most common with handsets sold in mainland China and some Hong Kong variants. Always verify the EID on the actual device before buying a plan.
