The run into town keeps service nearly throughout, with short tunnel stretches going quiet before the train reaches the Hauptbahnhof's stacked underground platforms.

The lakeside, the office districts and the old streets by the river stay connected throughout. The narrow stone lanes of the old town, walled on both sides, weaken a little without dropping out.
