This is a roaming profile. Your phone uses Chinese towers, but the data session does not exit in China — the supplier routes it out in Hong Kong before it reaches the internet, so China's own filtering never sees it.
One exception: TikTok stopped serving Hong Kong addresses in 2020, so a plan that exits via Hong Kong usually shows TikTok a black screen. That is TikTok's own restriction, not China's block. If TikTok matters on the trip, keep a second line roaming from home for it.

Full speed up to 500MB each day. After the daily allowance the connection is throttled to about 128 Kbps until the next reset.
How you use it
- Buy the plan and wait for the QR code by email, usually within a few minutes.
- Install the profile while on Wi-Fi at home, either by scanning the QR from another screen or entering the details manually.
- Turn roaming data off on your main line and set this eSIM as the data line.
- On arrival, switch Data Roaming on for this eSIM line — the plan works over roaming.

Yes, and it is the better way to do it: installing needs internet, so install on Wi-Fi at home and switch the line on after landing. The validity starts at the first connection at the destination.
Can I share the connection over hotspot?+
Yes, hotspot is allowed on this plan. Whatever your friends use comes out of the same allowance.
What if I run out of data before I fly home?+
This plan cannot be topped up. If you run out, buy another plan and install it as a second profile.
