자주 묻는 질문

Can a travel eSIM receive my bank's SMS?+

Generally no. Most travel plans are data-only, with no number that others can text, and even where a technical number exists, your bank has not tied your account to it. Receiving an SMS OTP still depends on your home SIM.

Should I take the home SIM out before flying?+

For most people, no. Any SMS sent while the SIM is out of the phone never reaches you, OTPs included. The arrangement that gives both safety and cost control is to keep the SIM in, turn off data roaming for that line alone, and let the travel eSIM carry the internet. What receiving SMS while roaming costs depends on your operator, so ask them first.

What if the phone only holds one eSIM line?+

It depends mainly on the handset. Some phones still take the home physical SIM alongside a travel eSIM, which solves it outright. If the device really supports only one line, arrange non-SMS options in advance — enable a generator app on the services that support one, and keep recovery codes separate from the phone. Checking the device's capabilities before buying a plan is the safest order.

The code expires before I can use it — what now?+

Short lifetimes are intentional, for security. What helps is having the entry screen open and ready before requesting the code, and, if you use a generator app, making sure the device clock is set to update automatically from the network, since a clock that drifted after crossing time zones can get codes rejected.

Can your team fix a bank OTP problem?+

No. We have no access to your bank's systems or to your home operator's. What we can help with sits inside the scope of the eSIM plan — installation, the data-line setting, and questions about the plan itself. Anything about a bank account has to go to the bank directly, and an OTP should never be disclosed to anyone, ourselves included.

Is hotel Wi-Fi acceptable for banking?+

Using your own data plan has the advantage that you control more of the path than you do on a public network run by persons unknown. If a public network is unavoidable, go in through the bank's official app rather than tapping a link from an email or a message, and never enter account details on a page you arrived at from a link you did not deliberately open.
