Not currently. The Federated States of Micronesia is not in our plan list, so please do not plan on buying one from us for Pohnpei or Chuuk. What we would suggest instead is asking your existing provider about roaming, using accommodation Wi-Fi, and preparing maps and documents offline. If the trip routes through Guam or Hawaii, plans for those destinations cover those legs normally.

They differ noticeably. Many places, especially on Yap and around Nan Madol, are land or cultural sites cared for by a community, so visits go through a local guide or need permission arranged in advance, and some carry an access fee paid in cash. Ask your accommodation or operator first, and check each state's entry conditions with the official authorities before you travel, since they are not uniform across the country.

Mostly not. The boats leave Weno for wreck sites out in the lagoon, away from the settled shore, so signal is weak or gone for most of the day and returns when you come back in the evening. Answer anything urgent before boarding, tell people at home you will be quiet until nightfall, and keep the dive shop's schedule and number saved on the phone in case the plan changes mid-day.

Most plans here start when the phone first connects to a network at the destination, so you can install in advance at home and switch it on after landing. Each plan page states its own rule.

No. The eSIM is a second line, so you keep your home number for SMS OTP. Turn off roaming data on the home line and set the eSIM as the data line.
