常见问题
Can leftover data be saved for the next trip?+
No. Leftover data disappears at expiry, and a new plan starts its own separate data and validity count from scratch.
If data runs out before the validity date, can the plan still be used?+
No. Once the data runs out, even if the validity period has not ended, the connection stops working. A top-up or new plan is needed to restore it.
Is there a refund for unused data?+
Generally not. A plan is sold as a right to use within a set time window, not as data units exchangeable back for cash.
Is it worth buying a new plan while the old one still has plenty of data?+
Not usually, since the old plan's remaining data is wasted the moment the new one takes over. It is better to wait until the old plan is close to expiring before buying new.
What should I do if a trip is extended suddenly?+
Check remaining data and validity immediately, then buy a new plan or top up before the current one actually expires, ideally while the current plan still provides internet to do so.
Is the eSIM profile deleted from the phone when a plan expires?+
No, it is not deleted. The profile remains installed as before; it simply can no longer connect to a network because the usage right has ended.
For back-to-back trips, how should plan purchases be timed?+
Plan for the new one to start close to when the current plan is due to expire, not while it still has plenty of data left, to reduce waste and avoid a connectivity gap between trips.
Where can I check the exact expiry date?+
The most reliable source is your order confirmation and the details of the plan you bought. What the phone itself displays varies by model and OS version, so it is not the best reference. If it is still unclear, message us with your order reference and we will check it for you.
If a delay pushes me past the expiry date overnight, what are my options?+
If it has not expired yet, act while you still have a connection: download the maps and documents you will need, and decide about buying more. If it has already expired, the options are airport or hotel Wi-Fi to arrange a new purchase, or your home SIM under that operator's own terms, where any charges are set by that operator and are unrelated to the plan you bought from us.
Can I buy the next plan in advance while the current one is still running?+
Buying ahead is generally possible and is safer than waiting until you have a gap. What matters is when the new plan's countdown begins: if it starts as soon as certain conditions are met, you can lose days overlapping the old plan for nothing. Read that plan's terms first, or ask us to confirm.
Should I delete the profile from my phone as soon as the plan ends?+
There is no rush, and often it is better not to, because some plans can be topped up into the same profile, a condition that differs by supplier. A deleted profile usually cannot be reinstalled from the same details. If you are not sure whether you will return to that destination, keep it for now and ask us.
What should I have ready when contacting you about expiry?+
Tell us the destination, the dates you installed and first used the plan, the order reference or the email you bought with, and what you are seeing, for instance when it stopped working. Screenshots make it faster still. Reach us on LINE at https://lin.ee/skDPoNx (@esimonline) or by email at esimonline.asia@gmail.com.
