旅游旺季出行,网络要怎么准备

人多既影响网速,也影响落地后柜台前排队的时间。

旅游旺季出行,网络要怎么准备

快速解答

  • Arrive ready: in peak season both airport queues and network speed at attractions get worse.
  • Install at home and enable on landing: that avoids nearly all the arrival-side problems.

常见问题

How many days ahead should I buy in peak season?+

One to two days before departure is enough in the ordinary case, because what takes time is not the purchase but the installation and the compatibility check. If you have never confirmed that your handset supports eSIM and is not carrier-locked, allow more, since unlocking has to go through your existing operator and takes a different amount of time with each one. Buying very early does nothing for queues or for speed at the destination.

If the slowness is caused by crowds, will changing plan fix it?+

Generally no, because the constraint is the capacity of that cell, which every plan riding the same network shares alike. What does help is moving out of the densest spot, deferring the bandwidth-hungry work to a quieter hour, and resisting repeated refreshes, which burn allowance without producing a result. If the connection is slow everywhere, including in open and quiet places, that is a different symptom and worth bringing to us.

How much extra data should I allow for a crowded trip?+

We cannot give an accurate figure, because it depends on your habits and on the destination. The workable principle is that an itinerary containing a festival or a famous viewpoint tends to consume more than the estimate, because of retries and failed sends. Rather than over-buying at the start, prefer a plan that can be topped up, and check the top-up terms before purchase.

The hotel advertises fast Wi-Fi. Do I still need a data plan?+

It is still worth having, because hotel Wi-Fi only helps while you are in the hotel, and the moments you most need data are usually in transit: finding a route, calling a car, or reaching the people you are travelling with. In a fully booked week the speed each room sees also tends to fall in the early evening when guests return together, so your own data is the alternative you can switch to instantly.

If my flight is delayed after I activate, do I lose those days?+

It depends on the terms of the plan you bought. Some start counting at first connection; others run from dates fixed at purchase. The terms recorded with your order are the ones that apply. The way to reduce the risk is to install ahead but not activate until you arrive, and if the plan changes before activation, to ask us before doing anything else.

Does my destination require passport registration for a SIM?+

Registration requirements differ by country and can change with local regulation, so we do not state on your behalf what your destination will ask for on your travel date; check the destination's official sources. What is clear is that a profile installed in advance keeps that process out of your first hour on the ground.

常见问题

Does a bigger plan help with speed?+

No: the constraint is the network's capacity there, not your allowance. A larger plan helps with volume only.

How far ahead should I buy in peak season?+

One to two days is enough. What matters is completing the installation at home, not buying as early as possible.
