Should I buy for the whole trip up front, or in stages?+
If the itinerary is settled, covering the whole period in one purchase is simpler to manage. If the schedule may shift with the work, buying enough for the first stretch and extending later is more flexible. Top-up and re-purchase terms differ from plan to plan, so read the details of the specific plan before deciding.
Can the team save money by sharing one hotspot?+
Yes, if everyone stays together all day, but accept two trade-offs: the sharing handset drains much faster, and if it fails or leaves the group everybody goes offline at once. Where the work splits people up across a site, each person should carry their own connection.
If the work site has no signal at all, is a plan still worth buying?+
Usually yes, because the hours that really need data are travel in and out, time at base, and coordination in town, which are the hours where signal is typically available. Size the plan from the work done in those windows rather than from the total number of days away.
How do I find out whether each volunteer's phone supports eSIM?+
Have each person run their own handset through the device checker before departure. Support varies by model, by the market variant sold in a given country, and by OS version. A phone bought on a carrier contract may also be locked, and only that carrier can confirm its status.
What if the placement runs longer than planned?+
First check whether the plan you hold can be topped up and how much validity remains. Some plans extend, others have to be replaced. If you are unsure, contact us with the order reference before the current plan expires: there are more options then than after it has already stopped working.
For a team from several countries, should each person buy separately?+
One buyer makes order tracking and support much easier because every reference sits in one place, but that person has to distribute installation details methodically and be sure each handset is compatible. If the team is spread across countries before departure, letting each person buy and then collecting the order references into one document works just as well.
