APN 是什么,什么时候需要自己动手填
多数情况下你根本不用碰它,但流量迟迟连不上时,它是最先要检查的地方之一。

快速解答
- An APN is the access point name that tells the phone which gateway to use; most plans set it automatically.
- If you must enter one, use only the value your seller supplied; never copy one from a forum thread.

Do I have to set an APN every time I install a new eSIM?+
No, and in most cases you should not. Most travel plans carry their configuration with the profile, and the phone fills the values in once it attaches to a destination network. Type one in only when the plan's installation instructions hand you the exact values. If the documentation never mentions an APN, the plan configures itself.
Can I look up the APN for the country I am visiting and use that?+
We would not. An APN belongs to a network and to how that specific plan is provisioned, not to a country. A value that works for a different supplier's product in the same place may do nothing for yours, and entering a wrong one can stop the correct automatic settings from being used. When in doubt, ask the supplier of the plan you bought.
I edited the APN and now data is gone entirely. What now?+
If you photographed the original values, type them back and reselect the original profile. If you did not, most Android phones offer a reset that clears APN entries back to defaults, which removes what you created and restores the built-in values. The other route is removing and reinstalling the eSIM profile, but check with us before doing that, because some QR codes cannot be installed a second time.
My iPhone has no APN screen at all. Is something wrong?+
It is not. The system hides that screen when the network or the profile does not allow user edits, which is common on plans that configure themselves. Treat its absence as a sign that manual settings are not wanted, and check line activation, data roaming and which line is set for data instead. If that still leaves you offline, reach us on LINE or by email.
Do I need to restart after setting an APN?+
Not always, but it is worth doing, because the phone may still be holding its previous session. The lighter version is toggling airplane mode once and waiting a minute or two. If that changes nothing, do a full restart. What you should avoid is judging the outcome after ten seconds; establishing a new session on a foreign network always takes longer than it does at home.
The supplier gave me no APN but I still have no data. Should I guess one?+
Do not guess. A guessed value that you then select stops the phone using the correct settings it gave itself, turning a temporary problem into a permanent one. Work the basic checklist first, then try selecting networks manually one by one. If you are still stuck, send us screenshots on LINE at https://lin.ee/skDPoNx or by email at esimonline.asia@gmail.com, along with the handset model and the country you are in.

Can I delete an old APN entry?+
Delete only the entry belonging to that travel profile. Leave your home SIM's entry alone or your home data may fail when you return.
With a regional plan, do I set an APN in each country?+
No. The same value serves the whole plan; crossing a border changes the network you attach to, not the gateway.
