eSIM 是什么
内置在手机里的 SIM,通过下载运营商配置文件来联网,不需要插实体卡。

快速解答
- An eSIM is a SIM chip built into the phone at the factory; you download an operator profile onto it instead of inserting a card.
- It uses the same networks as a physical SIM, so speed and coverage are unchanged.
- It requires a supporting, carrier-unlocked device.

常见问题
Does eSIM work on older phones?+
It depends on the exact model and the market it was sold into; some older phones do not support it at all. The reliable way to know is checking through the site's device checker tool.
Do I need internet to install it?+
Yes. Downloading the profile requires an internet connection; trusted Wi-Fi is recommended over an unknown public hotspot.
Is eSIM more secure than a physical SIM?+
It is not a blanket security upgrade. Day-to-day network security is the same either way; the real risk sits with how the QR itself is handled, as covered in the eSIM security guide.
Can I run an eSIM alongside my home SIM?+
Yes, on a device that supports two lines at once, though the exact behaviour of running both still depends on that model's own settings, such as which line is set as primary.
Can an eSIM get lost the way a physical SIM can?+
There is no physical piece to lose, but the profile itself can be deleted accidentally, or become unusable if the phone is lost or reset. Treat your order record as the backup, not a spare card.
What if I need to switch phones mid-trip?+
Contact the team as soon as possible with the order number. Whether a new profile can be issued for the new device depends on that plan's own provider terms.
Does an eSIM replace my Thai SIM?+
It does not have to. On a dual-SIM phone you keep the Thai number for calls and messages and let the eSIM carry data while you are abroad.
Can I move an eSIM to a new phone?+
It depends on the plan and on the manufacturer's transfer tools; some profiles can only be installed once. Check the plan's terms first, and if they are unclear, message us on LINE @esimonline.
What if my phone does not support eSIM?+
Use a spare handset that does support it and share the connection by hotspot, or choose another way to connect at the destination. Always check the model before buying.
The profile is installed but there is no data — what first?+
Confirm the eSIM is set as the data line, enable data roaming as the plan instructs, then restart once. If it still will not attach, search for networks manually in the network selection menu.
