アイスランドにおけるSíminnと旅行用eSIM

Síminnの概要

All Icelandic mobile operators have closed their 2G and 3G networks, so phones need 4G VoLTE or 5G support.

Síminn's bands and technology

An eSIM can only use Síminn if your phone supports at least one band in this table. Before you fly, open your model's spec page on the maker's site and compare its LTE and 5G band lists.

Who licenses Síminn

Mobile networks in Iceland are licensed, and their spectrum assigned, by the Electronic Communications Office of Iceland (ECOI (Fjarskiptastofa)). The bands above are the ones it allocates. A problem with the local network's own service goes to the operator first; a problem with your eSIM plan comes to us.

当店で取り扱うプランのうちSíminnを記載しているもの

From the supplier record behind each package, 42 of the 91 plans we currently sell for Iceland declare Síminn as a network the profile can reach, at 4G and 5G. The figure comes from the same catalogue that prices the plan pages, and it moves when the supplier revises the record.

プランが特定のネットワークを名指ししない理由

Nearly every travel eSIM is a roaming product: the profile picks a network by an order the supplier sets, not by the buyer. If Síminn is weak where you are, try selecting Nova or Vodafone Iceland manually in the network settings, and keep data roaming on for the eSIM profile.
