Who licenses T-Mobile

Mobile networks in United States are licensed, and their spectrum assigned, by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC). The bands above are the ones it allocates. A problem with the local network's own service goes to the operator first; a problem with your eSIM plan comes to us.

Nearly every travel eSIM is a roaming product: the profile picks a network by an order the supplier sets, not by the buyer. If T-Mobile US is weak where you are, try selecting AT&T manually in the network settings, and keep data roaming on for the eSIM profile.

At least one of these, LTE: B2, B4, B12, B66, B71; 5G: n25, n41, n66, n71, n77, n261, n262. Your phone's band list is on the maker's spec page for your model, under "Cellular" or "Network".

Yes. T-Mobile has run commercial 5G since 2019, on n25, n41, n66, n71, n77, n261, n262. A travel plan only gets it when the plan permits 5G, your phone supports one of those bands, and you are inside 5G coverage. Miss any one and you fall back to 4G.

Check the carrier name at the top of the screen, or open the mobile-network settings and look at the operator list. If signal is poor, try selecting a network manually instead of automatic, but only one your plan actually supports.
