モーリシャスにおけるEmtelと旅行用eSIM

Emtelの概要

Emtel was founded in 1989 by the Currimjee Jeewanjee Group, with Bharti Enterprises taking a 25% stake in 2015; it launched Africa's first 3G network in 2004 and LTE in Mauritius in May 2012.

Emtel's bands and technology

An eSIM can only use Emtel if your phone supports at least one band in this table. Before you fly, open your model's spec page on the maker's site and compare its LTE and 5G band lists.

Emtel's coverage map

Emtel publishes its own coverage map. Look up the street or district you will stay in rather than the country as a whole, because coverage in town and out of town differs a great deal. The map shows Emtel's own network; a roaming plan may not get every technology it shows.

Who licenses Emtel

Mobile networks in Mauritius are licensed, and their spectrum assigned, by the Information and Communication Technologies Authority (ICTA). The bands above are the ones it allocates. A problem with the local network's own service goes to the operator first; a problem with your eSIM plan comes to us.

当店で取り扱うプランのうちEmtelを記載しているもの

From the supplier record behind each package, 26 of the 35 plans we currently sell for Mauritius declare Emtel as a network the profile can reach, at 4G and 5G. The figure comes from the same catalogue that prices the plan pages, and it moves when the supplier revises the record.

プランが特定のネットワークを名指ししない理由

Nearly every travel eSIM is a roaming product: the profile picks a network by an order the supplier sets, not by the buyer. If Emtel is weak where you are, try selecting my.t (Mauritius Telecom) manually in the network settings, and keep data roaming on for the eSIM profile.
