台湾におけるTaiwan Mobileと旅行用eSIM

Taiwan Mobileの概要

Taiwan Mobile shut down its 3G (UMTS) network in December 2018 and uses network code 466-97.

Taiwan Mobile's bands and technology

An eSIM can only use Taiwan Mobile if your phone supports at least one band in this table. Before you fly, open your model's spec page on the maker's site and compare its LTE and 5G band lists.

Taiwan Mobile's coverage map

Taiwan Mobile publishes its own coverage map. Look up the street or district you will stay in rather than the country as a whole, because coverage in town and out of town differs a great deal. The map shows Taiwan Mobile's own network; a roaming plan may not get every technology it shows.

Who licenses Taiwan Mobile

Mobile networks in Taiwan are licensed, and their spectrum assigned, by the National Communications Commission (NCC). The bands above are the ones it allocates. A problem with the local network's own service goes to the operator first; a problem with your eSIM plan comes to us.

当店で取り扱うプランのうちTaiwan Mobileを記載しているもの

From the supplier record behind each package, 11 of the 45 plans we currently sell for Taiwan declare Taiwan Mobile as a network the profile can reach, at 5G. The figure comes from the same catalogue that prices the plan pages, and it moves when the supplier revises the record.

プランが特定のネットワークを名指ししない理由

Nearly every travel eSIM is a roaming product: the profile picks a network by an order the supplier sets, not by the buyer. If Taiwan Mobile is weak where you are, try selecting Chunghwa Telecom or Far EasTone manually in the network settings, and keep data roaming on for the eSIM profile.
