If a regional plan misses a country, must I buy separately?+
Yes. If that country is not on the regional plan's list, you will need to buy a separate plan for it. Buying several plans together is a common approach for this kind of trip.
Does a global plan genuinely cover every country in the world?+
Not necessarily. 'Global' in a plan's name means it covers more countries than a regional plan, but you still need to open the full country list to check it matches your route.
Can a plan's country list change over time?+
Lists can be updated as network agreements change, so check the country list on the plan page close to when you actually buy, rather than relying on memory from a previous trip.
If only one of five countries is uncovered, is it worth switching to buying single-country plans throughout?+
It depends on the total cost either way. Generally, buying the regional plan and topping up with a single-country plan for the gap is cheaper than buying separately for all five countries, but compare the actual combined price before deciding.
Does a layover of only a few hours need the plan to cover it?+
Not necessarily, if you do not intend to use any data at all while waiting and stay within the airport's controlled area. If you want to check maps or any information while waiting, do check that the plan covers that country too.
Do regional plans with the same name from different pages cover the same countries?+
Not always. Even with a similar regional name, providers can draw the boundary differently. Always open the full country list of the actual plan you intend to buy, rather than relying on a similarly named plan seen elsewhere.
If the regional plan's total data runs out in the first country, can I still use it in the next?+
If the plan's total data is used up, it will not work in the next country until you top up or buy a new plan. It is worth calculating enough total data for every country across the trip, not just the first one.
Does a two-hour layover country need to be on the list?+
It does if you intend to use data while waiting. If you will rely on airport Wi-Fi or simply stay offline, it does not. Worth knowing: many airport networks require registration with a phone number or email first, and sometimes a verification code sent by message.
Data stopped working after crossing into a new country — what first?+
Start by toggling airplane mode to force a fresh network search. If that fails, restart once, then check that the data line still points at the right profile. If it still will not connect, try selecting a network manually from the list. Where these menus live varies by manufacturer and OS version.
Does a regional plan give a separate allowance per country or one shared pool?+
Generally it is one pool shared across every country on the list, and it does not reset when you cross a border. The exact terms are stated on each plan's page; if they are not clear to you, ask us with the plan name and we will check that plan's details.
I bought a regional plan and then found one country is not on the list — what now?+
Message us with the order number and the missing country. If the profile is not yet installed, the options are wider. If it is, the usual workable answer is to add a small plan for that country and switch to it for those days.
Does a global plan cover every country in the world?+
No. The word global means coverage across many regions, not every country. Every plan has its own country list, and that list is what matters. If your route includes somewhere less commonly travelled, check that country's name in the list first.
How do I know which plan my phone is currently using?+
Look in the device's mobile network settings, where it lists which lines are active and which one carries data. The naming and location differ by manufacturer and OS version. Renaming each line after its country at installation time turns this into a two-second check.
