If only the travel date is wrong, not the country, is it different?+
That is a different case from the wrong country, but the same principle applies: tell us as soon as possible, and whether the profile has been installed remains the main factor deciding what options exist.
Someone bought it on my behalf and picked the wrong country — who should contact you?+
It is best if the person who actually placed the order contacts us, since the order number and confirmation email are usually tied to the buyer's account. If that is not convenient, sending the order number and the needed details on their behalf also works.
If the wrong region was bought but the intended country is actually inside that region, is a change still needed?+
If the destination country is genuinely within that region plan's coverage, no change may be needed at all. Check that region plan's page again to confirm the intended country is actually on its list.
After contacting you, how long until there is an answer?+
We do not give a fixed timeframe, since it depends on checking with that plan's own supplier. What speeds things up is sending the order number and full details in the very first message.
If the travel date is very close already, should a new plan be bought right away?+
If there is not much time left and there is concern about having no data for the trip, buying a fresh plan for the correct country ahead of time is a sensible option, while the original order's review continues separately. Let us know a new plan has been bought so the follow-up stays clear.
If it was activated for only a few seconds just to check it worked, does that count as used?+
It may already count as used in the eyes of some suppliers, even for a very brief connection, because the first network connection is usually the point the system fully binds the profile to the device. It is best to avoid a test activation if there is any chance an exchange or refund will be requested.
