Heathrow is Britain's main gateway and the airport most travellers from Bangkok land at on a direct flight. Getting into town

Three ways run into London. The express train reaches Paddington in about a quarter of an hour, the Elizabeth line takes a little longer but stops at several central stations, and the Piccadilly line takes around an hour yet puts you inside the hotel districts without a change. In the tunnels the signal comes and goes, so pin the route or save the map around your address before you go down the escalator. If you order a car or take a black cab instead, allow extra time, because the roads into London stall badly at rush hour. The ride itself is cheap in data: a map, a departure board app, and a message with your location to whoever is waiting. If the trip carries on to the continent afterwards, check that what you bought covers both the UK and the countries on the other side, because the two are not always counted together.
