My phone is several years old — can it still use an eSIM?+
Age is not the deciding factor. What decides it is whether the chip is there and whether the handset is locked. Dial *#06# and look for an EID: if it appears and the phone is unlocked, the odds are good even on an older device.
Do I have to remove my existing SIM before installing an eSIM?+
No. The point of an eSIM is that it works alongside the SIM you already have. Keep the home SIM for calls and texts, point data at the travel eSIM, and the only thing you need to change on the home line is turning its data roaming off.
If I install the profile early, does the validity clock start straight away?+
Installing and activating are two different events, but the exact moment the clock starts is set by each plan. Some start counting when the phone first attaches to a network at the destination, so read the terms of the plan you picked before installing many days ahead.
Can I use a travel eSIM on a company-issued phone?+
It depends on the policy your IT team has applied. A managed handset can have the add-profile menu disabled entirely, which is not something a plan can override. Ask IT before you buy.
What if I buy a plan and then find the handset cannot use it?+
Message us with the order number and the handset model straight away, and stop retrying the install — some QR codes work only once. What can be done next depends on whether the profile has already been issued or activated. We will check and tell you the options that actually exist.
