If I install before I travel, does the plan start counting straight away?+
Usually not: many plans start from the profile's first connection to a network rather than from the download. The thing to do is keep that profile's data roaming off until you arrive. The exact trigger belongs to each plan, so read that line on the plan page before buying.
The phone says it cannot add the plan after scanning — what now?+
Check three things in order: that the connection is live and stable, that the handset supports eSIM and is not carrier-locked, and that the code has not already been used to install. If all three hold and it still fails, send us the error text word for word with the model and order number. Do not retry repeatedly — some codes limit the number of attempts.
I changed phones mid-trip — can the profile come with me?+
It depends on the upstream provider and on both handsets. Some phones have a built-in profile transfer, some cases need the provider to reissue, and some cannot be done. Do not delete it from the old phone before you have an answer, because deleting is usually irreversible. Contact us with the order number and both models.
I cannot find the add-eSIM menu on my Android phone+
Makers place that menu differently and reword it with each update. Use the settings search box and type eSIM, or SIM, which sidesteps the menu structure entirely. If the search returns nothing at all, the model may not support eSIM, or the variant sold in your market may have had it removed — check with the manufacturer or whoever sold you the phone.
Do I need to install an app?+
No. eSIM handling is built into the phone's operating system and every step happens in Settings. If someone tells you to install an app from a link in a message in order to activate a plan, treat that with suspicion — we never ask for it.
The install finished but there is still no signal — what went wrong?+
If you are still in your home country that is expected: a travel plan is built to attach to networks at the destination, not here. If you are already there, confirm the right profile is enabled, that its data roaming is on and that it is set as the data line, then wait about fifteen minutes before toggling airplane mode once.
